A community event was held at Tullos community centre to allow residents learn more about the Torry Heat Network was held on the 15th June. The event brought together teams from Aberdeen City, Vital Energy and Aberdeen Heat and Power.along with SCARF to answer queries from the community about the provision of heat to customers which will be powered by the Energy From Waste Plant (EFW).
Vital Energy are developing a heat distribution network to provide residents and Council managed facilities within Torry with heat produced as a by-product of electricity generation within the EFW.
Aberdeen Heat and Power will mange metering and billing of heat , following completion of works by Vital energy.
